Just like most other popular movies, JAWS (1975), the second highest grossing film of its decade, was followed not only by its own official series of sequels, but also quite a few rip offs from various countries. And here's another one; an Italian production filmed in the States. Originally called L'ULTIMO SQUALO (THE LAST SHARK), this was released in the U.S. under the title GREAT WHITE but had to quickly be pulled from theaters when Universal Pictures filed a successful lawsuit claiming this movie was too similar to their film. Since JAWS already had a sequel several years before this one was made, in some countries it was released as JAWS 3. I haven't done a whole lot of research but I actually don't think this was ever officially released to video or DVD here in America, though it has been in many other countries.
