100 Most Popular Reviews - August

I just recently crossed the 1500 review mark here (... only about 10,000 left to go!) so I figured I'd take a breather to compile a list of the most-viewed reviews just to get a general idea what kinds of movies people who visit here are interested in. Instead of all the expected famous horror titles surging to the top, I was pleasantly surprised to see far more interest in lesser-known films than the big-budget mainstream releases. There's a good mixture of stuff below. Films from Italy and Spain seem particularly popular, as do obscure American shot-on-video cheapies and, well, just sleazy films in general. Movies from the 70s and 80s appear to be far more popular than ones from the 50s and 60s. With six titles in the Top 100, Jesus Franco seems to be sparking the most interest. The #1 most viewed film - the dull Evil in the Woods - has me completely baffled. Not only did it make no impression whatsoever on yours truly as my review attests, but it has nearly 1000 more hits than the #2-placing Brides of Blood. Weird.

Of course, older reviews have had time to accumulate more hits. Because of that, I plan on updating this list at the beginning of every month just to keep tabs on how things change around here. Many of the reviews listed below are from the earlier days of this blog and don't even have screen caps, but I plan on adding them in due time, starting with the more popular titles.
