T...I'm actually a big fan of most of his movie. Technically his best films as director were the Poe / Gothic films of the 60s, plus The Intruder starring William Shatner. I do still have a soft spot for the 50s films though, with It Conquered the World and Not of This Earth being my favorites. Nearly all of them were at least fun!The Bloody Pit of Horrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04419921450872885649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-36482985448977111982015-03-07T22:52:45.691-05:002015-03-07T22:52:45.691-05:00God, I have been wanting to see Not of This Earth ...God, I have been wanting to see Not of This Earth for years. Somehow I must have missed this set. I didn't really like Crab Monsters but I would almost blind buy the set for This Earth. I recently watched Devon on an episode of the Chuck Connors western, The Rifleman, so I can imagine he was quite great in the villain part.

I think Corman sometimes did himself no favors with rushing projects and spending as little money as possible. Man, did he frustrate some film directors, haha. Sometimes, his cheap monster films were hilarious, but I far prefer his low budget gothic horrors. The Haunted Palace looks amazing considering its small budget but there's only so much his crew could do with little money at their disposal.crowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04669900632326853467noreply@blogger.com
