I also suspect this same same actress played the phi pop in the first House of Pop movie. The Bloody Pit of Horrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04419921450872885649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-91001628865801793622018-05-24T13:48:04.238-04:002018-05-24T13:48:04.238-04:00Thanks a lot! I'm guessing based on "Kamanita" and "Neramit" and now "Srisawat" that Thai directors often went by just their last name.

I've not had that much luck with older Thai horror movies. Didn't like this one much nor the first three Pop movies. Pop #3 was in fact downright terrible though the first two had their moments. The 70s movie The Wolf Girl, which is hilarious at times, has been my favorite pre-1990 Thai genre film thus far. Krai Thong is fun, too. Guess we'll see how some of these others pan out.The Bloody Pit of Horrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04419921450872885649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-39864923615085618232018-05-23T19:14:53.582-04:002018-05-23T19:14:53.582-04:00pulled down a lot of those HOUSE OF POP movies for...pulled down a lot of those HOUSE OF POP movies for safekeeping but never looked at them.

OK... again, i froze on the director credit and eventually matched it. ศรีสวัสดิ์ into google translate gave me "srisawat", leading to a magazine article titled "Haunted Thailand: The Village as a Location of Thai Horror" which names "saiyon srisawat" as the director of 1989's BAN PHI POB. same director credit appears in parts 2-4; if it's on the poster for part 5, i don't see it.

hope at least a few thai horror pics turn out to be as good as the wonderful poster art.spookyx3https://www.blogger.com/profile/16031768705430185415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-59612623037786004352018-05-23T15:46:42.640-04:002018-05-23T15:46:42.640-04:00Ha, I about fell on the floor when I entered that ...Ha, I about fell on the floor when I entered that title into the translator and got back "Slut Killer."

I have reviews for the first three บ้านผีปอบ (House of Pop) movies done. That series is supposedly one of the most popular in Thailand and I can't even figure out the director or directors! I assume the same person made them because they're all about the same, were shot on the same locations and have the same actors in them. The Bloody Pit of Horrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04419921450872885649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-67755778128824269762018-05-23T10:24:14.108-04:002018-05-23T10:24:14.108-04:00found another one. poster for นักฆ่าขาอ่อน (1986) ...found another one. poster for นักฆ่าขาอ่อน (1986) has the same credit as on both of these movie prints: "director/directed by kamanita" at the bottom right.spookyx3https://www.blogger.com/profile/16031768705430185415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-40682155120248016712018-05-22T15:24:24.909-04:002018-05-22T15:24:24.909-04:00Both are from 1990 so that's highly possible. ...Both are from 1990 so that's highly possible. These are going to be a real bitch to figure out. Not even ThaiWorldView has most of the directors for these films listed so I will go ahead and add yours next to unknown for now unless someone stops by to tell us otherwise.

I did figure out one other cast member. The woman playing the scorned wife Nit is พิมพิไล ไชโย / Pimphilai Chaiyo, and she appears to be a beauty queen. The Bloody Pit of Horrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04419921450872885649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-39764169379436812952018-05-21T22:01:31.516-04:002018-05-21T22:01:31.516-04:00> Directed by: Unknown
