SINS is too typical and fairly anonymous. wonder who got the original version of the script? on SINS, mcgee is named alongside peter (GHOULIES) liapis (??), with a story credit for wynorski. spookyx3noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-77971924982150774662015-08-04T00:03:22.683-04:002015-08-04T00:03:22.683-04:00I watched Mind Twister not long ago and was surpri...I watched Mind Twister not long ago and was surprised to see that it was a remake of Sins of Desire or perhaps vice versa. Both were filmed in 1992 and both credit Mark Thomas McGee as writer so it makes me wonder if Ray and Wynorski even knew they were pretty much making the exact same film at the same time! The Bloody Pit of Horrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04419921450872885649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-27408918223572891012015-08-03T08:01:27.916-04:002015-08-03T08:01:27.916-04:00dug it. golden had used the name 'sam silver&#...dug it. golden had used the name 'sam silver' on several previous credits. the song, "one night with you", that plays during maria ford's routine, also features at length in fred ray's MIND TWISTER (1992/4). spookyx3noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-79323470183534197132012-05-14T21:58:30.868-04:002012-05-14T21:58:30.868-04:00Yes, this was a nice and unexpected surprise. I had a hard time finding a good scan of the VHS box, unfortunately.

It does amaze me how solid direct-to-video / cable films like these were dismissed as trash back in the day yet many look great compared to all the DV garbage that has been flooding the market the past ten or so years.

Kudos to Dan Golden either way for this one and Stripteaser. I'd never seen that poster with the smirking Katt before--totally inappropriate, and made me laugh.

"Sam Silver" is a variation on the name of the film's director, Dan Golden, and as the director is the god over a production, Sam would appear to be the god over this little tale (in more recent years, Golden has used "Sam Silver" as a screen alias). Dean does get most of the good lines, but he and Katt play off one another pretty well, too.cinemarchaeologisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13507603255666191405noreply@blogger.com
