It's weird because I really like Big Trouble, They Live and others he made in the 80s, and I love ASPECTS of Prince, but for some reason it just doesn't all come together for me. Maybe I'll give it another try in a few years!The Bloody Pit of Horrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04419921450872885649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-27059474017727176012018-08-13T20:01:04.851-04:002018-08-13T20:01:04.851-04:00for me, at this particular point in his career, ca...for me, at this particular point in his career, carpenter can do no wrong. even featuring part of alice cooper's stage act, and presumably having him suggest this movie's title doesn't faze me... from BIG TROUBLE to THEY LIVE, i embrace his style and agree with his choices 100%, it's like the perfect mind-meld. if i'd made films, PRINCE OF DARKNESS is everything i would have wanted them to be, from the look, to the soundtrack, the scope and performances. no surprise i saw it again this past sunday -- first viewing in eight years -- charged up, and grinning from ear to ear almost the entire time.
