Very interesting and very much worth watching.

Thanks for the recommendation, Nigel. I'll be sure to check that one out. I have one of his other crime movies ('Kidnap Syndicate') but haven't gotten around to watching it just yet.The Bloody Pit of Horrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04419921450872885649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-62755857011835140162014-07-08T10:55:04.015-04:002014-07-08T10:55:04.015-04:00The English language version To Be Twenty is awful...The English language version To Be Twenty is awful. It is not simply cut, but re-assembled as an awful sex comedy. The Italian film on the other hand is a powerful commentary on the aftermath of the counterculture. It is top notch Di Leo. Aside from this his best work is in the poliziotteschi genre- Calibro 9 is especially brilliant.Nigel Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01928346913206094978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5214930440884348127.post-1453673046643779152014-07-07T19:35:36.437-04:002014-07-07T19:35:36.437-04:00This sounds rather interesting. You know, the 70s ...This sounds rather interesting. You know, the 70s seems to have a good bit of these films featuring free spirits who seem to be having the time of their lives. I'm not sure if it says that rebellion leads to tragedy or if to follow the lead of the last generation will leave less possibility of trouble and danger. Away from the comforts of home does offer potential danger, but until their grim fates, it seems like the girls were in a place they enjoyed. So I'm not sure if to rebel and live a little while the way you so desire is worth more than giving in to a normal type of life that is safe and average. Downbeat endings sure were a rage, though, in the 70s.crowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04669900632326853467noreply@blogger.com
